At this point you could have selected the effects to be assigned to FX SENDS 1-4 on channel 1, as well as assigning a preset number and name to this FX menu, but another STEP in the DDX3216 course (Selecting and editing an effect algorithm) will explore the process in detail.
35.Use of the AUX/FX faders menu allows for adjustment of the 4 AUX and 4 FX master sends, as well as the 4 stereo FX returns 1-4. All of the faders in this menu can be muted. To enter the AUX/FX fader menu, press the AUX/FX switch in the FADER bank until you see 'AUX FX' in the upper right of the display.
36.You will now see the AUX/FX faders menu on the display, and it will consist of 16 sets of controls plus a single folder on the far right to control the fader for stereo main mix. All of the controls in the display are accessed by use of the input channel strip controls on the DDX3216. For example, the input channel 1 fader is now used to control the gain level for AUX SEND 1, which is called 'A1' on the display. As you adjust the channel 1 input strip fader, you will see the corresponding fader on the display move and show a gain value underneath. The FX send masters cannot be paired or grouped. If you try these functions, you will see that the settings on the display for these masters won't respond to adjustment by the controls.
