How do I set up my PODCASTUDIO USB?

To set up the Podcastudio, connect from the RCA CD/TAPE outputs of the XENYX 502 mixer, into the RCA inputs of the UCA200. Then, connect the RCA output from the UCA200 into the RCA CD/TAPE input of the XENYX 502 mixer.

You will need to select the CD/TAPE to PHONES button so that the UCA200's signal will be routed away from the main mix to the headphones output.
You will also need to connect the 'PHONES' output of the Xenyx to your headphones, power amp or powered speakers and control your monitoring level via the PHONES control on the Xenyx.

In Windows:

From the Start menu in Windows, go to 'Control Panel' > 'Sounds'. Set your 'Playback' to 'USB AUDIO CODEC'. Also, set the 'Recording' to 'USB AUDIO CODEC'.

In macOS:

Go to 'Applications' > 'System Preferences' > 'Sound' > 'Input' > and then select USB AUDIO CODEC. Select the same in the 'Output' menu.
You will need to select the USB AUDIO CODEC as the default Input / Output device in your chosen recording software. There should be some kind of 'preferences' or 'options' menu that will allow you to select it. Or, you can download Audacity here

The Audacity setup process can be viewed here

Go into the 'Edit' > 'Preferences' menu of Audacity. In the Audio I/O menu, you can select the playback device and recording device. This is where you select the USB AUDIO CODEC. In the recording section, you will want to have the channel selection set to 2(stereo).

Also, be sure to have both of the following boxes checked:

-Play other tracks while recording new ones.
-Software play through (play new track while recording it)
