BEL – Breaker Emulation Limiter – is ensuring that the current drawn over time doesn’t exceed the threshold it is configured for. The algorithm ensures that no 30 s interval will exceed this level. If the music demands more current from the mains, then the amplifier will have to dynamically lower the peak limit thresholds of its look ahead limiters. There is no slow gain reduction going on.
This is very unobtrusive to the sound and hard to hear.
