LM 26/44: Iso Float explained

What is Iso Float?

Iso Float™ is a unique way to avoid ground loops.

The LM 26 can be connected both with AES and Analog signals to the same source and the risk of interference is minimized with the automatic Iso-Float on the input of LM 26.

Iso Float technology combines the benefits of transformer-coupled isolation with the advantages of clean, direct-coupled inputs and outputs. The audio converters are galvanically isolated, and not connected to main ground. High speed transformers and opto-isolators create a barrier between the device and the outside electrical environment.
