Bass amps: Level differences when using TonePrints

Question

I own a BG series amp and have noticed differences in levels from one TonePrint to the next. Is there a way to edit the output volume of a TonePrint so I can activate an effect without adversely effecting my sound levels?

Answer

Unfortunately not.

The level differences is due to the difference in the type of processing being applied.

For example, the SpectraComp TonePrint is boosting the level by applying multiband compression to the input and autogain at the output. The Octaver is adding a second voice with the first one. Both of these processes will increase the output.  Though it is possible to make your own TonePrint for TonePrint pedals using the TonePrint editor, this option is not available at least at this point in time for bass amp TonePrints.
