G-Major / G-Major 2: How to set a momentary pedal to control the TAP TEMPO

Question

What is the procedure to assign a momentary pedal to control the TAP TEMPO on G-Major or G-Major 2?

Answer

G-Major

Plug your Momentary Foot Pedal in the Ext. Control ¼" Jack on the back of the 'G Major'.

In the 'Mod' menu go to 'Tap Tempo' and switch it to 'Pedal'.

Then go to the 'MIDI/UTILITY' menu and under "Pedal Type', pick 'Momentary".

Go to 'Pedal Calib' and press 'Enter' : It will show 'Max. Pos.' then press and hold down your Momentary Foot Pedal and  press 'Enter' on G Major (while continuing to hold down the Momentary Pedal). The screen now reads 'Min. Pos.', so it is now OK to release the Momentary Foot Pedal and  press 'Enter' on G Major.

You can now go further down the menu to 'Tap Unit' and choose to have it read out in BPM or in Ms.

G-Major 2:

Plug your Momentary Foot Pedal in the Ext. Control ¼" Jack on the back of the 'G Major-2'.

In the 'Mod' menu go to 'Tap Tempo' and switch it to 'Pedal'.

Then go to the 'Global' menu and under "Pedal Type', pick 'Momentary".

Go to 'Pedal Calib' and press 'Enter' : It will show 'Max. Pos.' then press and hold down your Momentary Foot Pedal and  press 'Enter' on G Major-2 (while continuing to hold down the Momentary Pedal). The screen now reads 'Min. Pos.', so it is now OK to release the Momentary Foot Pedal and  press 'Enter' on G Major-2.

You can now go further down the menu to 'Tap Unit' and choose to have it read out in BPM or in Ms.
