G-System: Doing a back-up of settings and presets

Question

How do I do a back-up of my G-System settings and presets?

Answer

The G-System allows you to do two kinds of backups:

  • Dump System - all global settings not stored in presets
  • Dump Bank - all user presets

This is how you do a back-up:

  • Hit EDIT/OUTPUT
  • Hit UP/MENU MODE
  • Turn the LOOP 3/PAGE encoder until the display reads 'MIDI'. Hit ENTER.
  • Turn the LOOP 3/PAGE encoder until you see either 'Dump System' or 'Dump Bank' in the display

Now before you start, please be sure to cable the MIDI OUT of the G-System to the MIDI IN of the device receiving the data.

  • Then hit ENTER to start the dump.
