Installing optional PowerCore plug-ins on computer without internet

Question

I'm trying to install my optional PowerCore plug-in on my computer, but it doesn't have internet-access. How do I install my plug-in?

Answer

As it might say on the product box for your plugin: Internet connection for activation required. But that doesn't mean that you need to have an internet-connection on your music-computer, just access to the internet from either a Mac or a Windows PC.

1st generation PowerCore hardware (PowerCore Element / PowerCore PCI):

If your plug-in has already been activated, proceed to step 4.

  1. Go to your TC My Account.
  2. If you don't have an account yet, create one, log in and register your PowerCore hardware. If you already have an account, log in.
  3. Go to Activate plug-in license to activate your plug-in. This only needs to be done the first time.
  4. Go to Download plug-in license to download your plug-in. Click on either OSX or WinXP to request the plug-in.
  5. Click in the download link of the email you receive, to download the plug-in installer program.
  6. Download the plug-in installer program, move it over to your music computer and install it.
  7. Done !

2nd generation PowerCore hardware (all except PCI and Element):

If your plug-in has already been activated, proceed to step 4.

From PowerCore software version 2 an onwards, all optional plug-ins are part of the standard PowerCore software installer, so if you have the latest PowerCore software version installed, you are already up to date with the latest plug-in version.

Click on Download 2.x license to download the license file for your plug-in.
  5. Move the license file over to your music computer with the PowerCore connected and doubleclick it.
  6. Done !
