Noise when connecting pedals in a signal chain

Question

I am getting noise when connecting my pedals in the signal chain.

Answer

Getting a completely noiseless guitar system is something of an art. It’s often hard to predict exactly what pedals will cause noise in a certain system, and most often it isn’t the fault of one particular pedal, but the sum of all the pedal in that specific setup that causes the noise.

A common tip is to try different power option to eliminate the cause of the noise, as that’s where most noise problems originate. Many power supply do not have isolated outputs but all use the same common ground, which can cause problems. we would therefore suggest that you try powering the new pedals with batteries to test if that solves the problem. If that solves the problem, you should try powering all the pedals using a daisy chaining cable from one outlet instead of individual power cables.
