PowerCore using Audio Units wrapper (from v. 1.7 to 2.2.1)

Question

Why does PowerCore use an Audio Units adapter / wrapper?

Answer

PowerCore is designed to be as transparent as possible, not only to the end user, but also our many 3rd party developers.  It is our belief that you should be able to install the hardware and software and begin using PowerCore in your sessions immediately; without concerning yourself with having to tweak and optimize your system.

PowerCore offers Audio Units support via an included adapter called 'TCAU.component'.  This adapter allows Audio Units applications such as Logic to use the included PowerCore plug-ins.

From PowerCore version 3 and upwards, all plug-ins are available as true Audio Units plug-ins (which means you basically have two sets of plug-ins -- VST and Audio Units -- to manage).
