Reverb 4000: Dual engine configuration

Question

We would like to use two separate mono effects on the Reverb 4000 - is this possible?

Answer

Unlike other TC reverbs -- like the M-One XL, M2000, M3000 etc -- the Reverb 4000 has only one engine, which means that you can only run one effect at a time.

However, unlike other TC units -- except the M6000 -- with the VSS4 algorithm of the Reverb 4000, you can actually feed the engine with two discrete mono sources or stereo mix. The two mono feed can be useful when positioning 2 sources in the virtual space.
