SCF: Chorus disappears when used in a stereo loop

Question

When using the SCF in a stereo effects loop it seems the two signals are canceling each other out as if they are phase reversed. If I turn one side down I can hear the chorus but if I turn up the other channel it sounds like I'm bypassing the effect. It still works great in mono and I'm only having problems when I hook up in stereo. I would appreciate any advice.

Answer

The SCF chorus is actually in mono, the dry sound is mixed with normal phase chorus to the left output and reversed phase chorus sound to the right output.

If the two outputs are summed together there will only remain dry sound.
