Triple C: Connecting two single channel units digitally

Question

Can two mono Triple Cs be connected to operate as a stereo compressor using the digital inputs and outputs? If they can, how should they be connected?

Answer

Unfortunately, linking two Triple-Cs digitally is not possible. Since it has no word clock input, the Triple-C must take the clock from its digital input. In this case, you would have to use the output of one of the Triple-Cs to clock the other one, and since it's a mono unit, it's not possible to merge the two audiostreams to one stereo output.

Any linking of the Triple-C will have to be kept in the analog domain.
