UnitY: AES / EBU connector pin configuration

Question

What is the pin configuration for the AES/EBU connector?

Answer

Added UnitY Functions with AES/EBU/ I/O Extension:

With the I/O extension board, 4 AES/EBU inputs and 4 AES/EBU outputs are added to a UnitY card, thereby giving access to 8 more digital mono inputs and 8 more digital mono outputs on your mixer.

AES/EBU inputs 5/6 and 7/8 (or only one of the pairs) are mixed down digitally with the FX signals on the card.

As with any other digital I/O card on the 02R, remember to have all the UnitY AES/EBU inputs synchronized to the same master clock, or glitch noise will occur.

AES/EBU connector:

The pin configuration of the 25 pin SubD type connector is the same as used on Yamaha's AES/EBU cards.

If you make the cable yourself, remember to use twisted pair cable, and respect the cable pairs.
