With PowerCore under Mac OS X the 'Configure' button does not work

When I go to the System Preferences in Mac OS X, select POWERCORE and click the Configure button, nothing happens. What is going on?

This seems to be an issue related to Mac OS X versions above 10.3.5 and can be resolved by doing the following:

  1. Go to /Applications and double-click the POWERCORE control panel manually.

  2. Select the POWERCORE menu > Quit POWERCORE (or hit Command+Q)

  3. Go to System Preferences > POWERCORE

  4. Click 'Configure' again:

  5. Now the POWERCORE control panel should open up.
