VoiceLive Play / GTX: How Practice mode works

Question

How does practice mode work? Can it use scale and chords detected by Mic sense?

Answer

Practice mode detects the pitch of your dry voice (if pitch correction is active, it is done further in the signal chain) . The pitch is based on the pitch reference A=440 Hz, and compared to the notes of the chromatic scale.

The practice mode does not use the natural play detection, and will not tell you if you are singing the right notes of a scale deducted from a chord played on a piano or a guitar. The practice mode helps you to improve your pure pitch accuracy.
