VoicePro: Alternatives to formant-corrected pitch shifting

Question

I don’t always need formant-corrected pitch shifting, is there another shifting type?

Answer

Yes. Non-formant-corrected pitch shifting (we refer to it as “instrumental” shifting) is great for creating monsters and chirpy aliens as opposed to natural sounding pitch shifted versions of the input voice. It can produce some wonderfully oddball effects.

We have retained this style of pitch shifting in VoicePro and you can scale your effects anywhere between our HybridTM shifting and instrumental shifting for just the right effect.
