VoiceSupport: Firmware Version Not Supported

 If you see the following message when VoiceSupport starts: “Preset management is not supported for the firmware currently running on <your product>. Check the Firmware page for the latest versions.  Preset management is temporarily disabled."

And both the “Preset” and “Firmware” buttons are disabled, then it is possible that a VoiceSupport control file has been corrupted.

Windows 7

  1. Exit VoiceSupport if it’s running.
  2. Make sure you can see hidden paths. (Win 7: Control Panel->Folder Options->View->Show hidden files, files, or drives).
  3. Browse to C:\Users\your account\AppData\Roaming\TC-Helicon\VoiceSupport\ your product\.
  4. Delete the caps.xml file.
  5. Return the file view option to the previous state (if changed).
  6. Restart VoiceSupport. 

Windows XP

  1. Exit VoiceSupport if it’s running.

  3. Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\TC-Helicon\VoiceSupport\YourDevice
  4. Delete the caps.xml file.
  5. Return the file view option to the previous state (if changed).
  6. Restart VoiceSupport

Macintosh

  1. Exit VoiceSupport if it’s running.
  2. Make sure you can see hidden paths. http://www.mikesel.info/show-hidden-files-mac-os-x-10-7-lion/
  3. Browse to YourDrive\Library\TC-Helicon/VoiceSupport/YourProduct
  4. Delete the caps.xml file.
  5. Return the file view option to the previous state (if changed).
  6. Restart VoiceSupport.
